Some of my earliest memories are of turning drawings into objects. When I was five, my father taught me to sew, and together we made my sketches into stuffed animals. That process — a two-dimensional idea becoming something you could hold — still hasn’t stopped fascinating me.

Since then, I have expanded into other forms of sculptural fine art, from textiles to ceramics and works on paper. Yet the textile figures remain a central part of my practice; as a grounding element they serve as a creative reset and a reminder of how I came to this work. A thread connecting back in time and a portal into play. Over time I found ways to connect this play to other objects in my life. A lamp, I came to understand, is not so different from a toy. Both have presence. Both invite interaction. Both have the ability to bring light — literally or otherwise — to a scene.

My studio makes custom textile art, ceramic sculptures and utility items, and light fixtures: each piece designed and built by hand in Brooklyn. I work with natural materials — linen, leather, wool, silk, cotton, and clay — many of them off-cuts sourced from local manufacturing processes. My textiles are hand-dyed. Each piece is made from templates that are destroyed during production, in limited colors and materials. Everything is one of a kind.
